What is getting me through ... Every day ... Every hour ... Every fork full ...
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Progress Snapshot - June 29, 2016 (8 weeks)
I started on May 4, 2016, so I have completed 8 weeks.

- June 1 47.6
- June 8 47.0
- June 15 46.4

When my BMI lowers to 44.0, I go
from “very high health risk” to “high health risk,” which will be a victory for
me.
I have to get my weight to 167.5
pounds, I will be at “minimal” health risk.
That is my new adjusted goal weight.
So, I have 107.5 pounds to go, having already lost 25. Woot! I
am 18.9% done – 81.1% to go. Wheeee!

Just a Bite ...
I think I may change my tactic on turning down all of the
food that is offered to me.
When friends/family/co-workers, etc., offer me/bribe me/prompt
me/shame me/tease me/cajole me with food (“C’mon, just a bite won’t matter!” “You are not being social.” “You will hurt the host’s/hostess’s feelings.” “You can diet tomorrow” and on and on and on ….),
I think I will just tell them that I am allergic to whatever it is.
No one urges a food allergy sufferer to “just take a bite,” as
it could potentially kill them. There are no
comments when the allergy sufferer chooses to live, instead of eating whatever
it was they cannot and should not eat.
No one thinks twice about offering food to a dieter, however, and then
commenting when they do not take it/eat it.
No one (but me and my doctor) sees the real-life struggle I
am in to save my health and mobility.
It is *not* “just a bite” to me. It is *MY LIFE*.

And S – L – O – W – L – Y we go ...
Am just plodding along, doing my plan.
Have been hella active (moving a printing business and hosting a huge
yardsale, yo!).
Here is my SLOW progress so far …
Weight
May 4 300
May 11 290.8
May 18 289.6
May 25 287.2
June 2 285.6
BMI
May 4 49.9
June 2 47.6
I am down a total of 14.4 pounds in this first month. Not too shabby, but I know that I can put it
on exponentially faster than I am losing it.
*sigh*
While patience is reputedly a virtue, it has never been my strong suit.
